Welcome at Gästehaus Oleander
Welcome on our website. We, Martine and Pieter Feenstra, have made the big step to go to Austria on 1 March 2010. Here in beautiful Carinthia have we found our spot on a 5-minutes walk from the Klopeiner See, the warmest Lake in Austria.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in our bed and breakfast guest house and do our best to give you an unforgettable time in Gästehaus Oleander.

The Klopeiner See is one of the lakes in the region Klopeiner See – Süd Kärnten. This region has the most hours of sunshine in Austria. This enables to rise the water temperature up to 28 degrees in the summer! The water is very clear and of drinking water quality.
It is a beautiful place to be on the lawns and scaffolding by the lake. The lake is a protected nature reserve and motorboats are prohibited. Of course it is possible to surf, sail or pedalos. The deepest point is 48 meters but the average depth is 23 meters. The Lake is located at 441 meters above sea level and covers an area of 1.1 km².
